“Peace” is the latest single release by Patrice Jégou. During the coronavirus pandemic, she, like so many others, has been sheltering-in-place. As a result, Patrice decided to begin recording a new album at home. The first single from her record is “Peace,” written by Michael McDonald and Beth Nielsen Chapman.
“Recording remotely, and in my living room, has been challenging, but it’s also been so rewarding,” says Patrice about her first-time experience recording in her home. Working with Nashville’s own Pat Coil, who arranged the piece and played piano and keyboard, was a thrill for her. Patrice reflects, “Getting to work with Pat again was an absolute privilege. He is the best of the best in the industry, and though we had to collaborate remotely, we made it all work, and I think the result is really special.”
This prayerful, beautiful song has a message that is inspiring, uplifting, and sure to encourage us all at a time such as this.
